The women's beauty magazine Allure was founded in 1991 by Linda Wells, who remains the magazine's editor in chief. Allure is published monthly by Condé Nast Publications in New York City, and aims to inform its readers on everything beauty, from makeup and hair to fashion and health. The magazine publishes an annual Best of Beauty Issue where editors pick their favorite hair, skin-care, and makeup products.
