Catherine Ava is the fashion blog created in November of 2010 by a girl of the same name Catherine Ava. The blog orginally started as a diary of fashion inspirations for Ava, which slowly evloved into something more. Tired and feeling out of place, Ava started a fashion a blog in hopes of seeing of people had similar interests with her in fashion.She has interviewed many independent designers and artist. Ava has constantly called fashion a form of art and expression. Writing and drawing remains one ofher favorite hobbies besides constantly blogging. Two months after she had already started blogging, she has written for numerous independent blogs and magazines.
Style
Ava’s blog seems to feature many types of style. There has been anything from vintage clothing to designer brands. However, there has always been a theme of independent fashion. Ava’s influences have mostly been a mix of feminine and edge. She has been known to refer to Patti Smith, Debbie Harry and Audrey Hepburn as one of her fashion influences. From time to time she has been known to feature style collages. She has always mentioned a love for creating and has dreamed of creating a line someday in the future if she gets the chance. When interviewed by Okreko Fashion Collective, Ava stated "If I had a fashion label I'd probably call Catherine Ava because it has a ring to it. Ava isn't actually part of my name I just thought it sounded fitting and pretty. Most people can't pronounce my real last name so I think Catherine Ava works" She has recently stated "One day I hope to work for a big magazine, but for now I'm a blogger."
