Born as Diane Simone Michelle Halfin in Brussels, Diane went on to study economics at the University of Geneva. [1] Diane met her fist husband Prince Egon of Furstenberg at the age of 18. The couple had two children together Prince Alexander von Furstenberg and Princess Tatiana, who were both born in New York City. Diane became known as Princess Diane of Furstenberg at the time of her wedding and later dropped her title after the demise of her marriage.
She later married media mogul Barry Diller and in 2002, Diane become a US citizen. [2]
Diane spends her time between her homes in Connecticut, New York, Paris and the Bahamas. [3]
Career
Dian von Furstenberg launched her namesake label in 1973. She become synonymous for her wrap dresses and prints. [4]
