About
Dion Lee Spring Summer 2010-11 collection 'Facade' was inspired by tension between something controlled and less inhibited. [2] The prints featured rorschach inkblot patterns. [3] The collection featured Dion Lee's signature tailoring, blazers and cut outs. [4]
Dion Lee Spring Summer 2010-11 showed at Rosemount Australian Fashion Week on the 5th May 2010. It was the designer's second time showing at the festival, and third show [5] since Dion Lee graduated from design school in 2007.[6] [7]
The show was held at the Opera House in Sydney. The venue was a perfect backdrop to the Spring Summer 2010-11 collection which featured lilac, blue, white and black. With architectural tailoring and gelato coloured dresses. [8]
The collection featured ink blot print mini skirts, icy mini dresses, lilac knotted shifts mixed between highly constructed and soft draping.[9] [10] Dion Lee collaborated with Terry Biviano to create crystal like heels, that were individual for each model. [11]
The designers of Lover, model Lara Bingle [12] as well as blogger Tommy Ton of Jak and Jil sat front row at the show. [13]
Sophie Roberts was the hair stylist for Dion Lee Spring Summer 2010-11 collection. The stylist incorporated white clay into six of the models' hair.[14]
