How do I create a page?edit

If a page does not exist create a page by typing the title into search. This will then give you the option to create the page.

When creating a page it is important to include:

• a template.
• references for any information that you have included.
• the category/s under which the item belongs.

How do I upload an image?edit

To upload an image, go to the upload file page. After the image has been uploaded, please edit the newly created page (a new page is created for every image uploaded) and include a reference. This reference should include, if possible the following information:

• A url to where the original image can be found
• And a description of the image

How do I include an image in a page?edit

To include an image within a page, you will first need to make sure that you have uploaded that image.

• Then to include an image within the page include:

How do I edit an existing page?edit

To edit an existing page, first search for the page that you would like to edit. Once you have logged in select the edit tab at the top of the page. You will then be able to edit the page. Once you have finished editing the page, save any changes you have made and leave a reason for any edits that you have made.

What are templates?edit

There are a number of popular templates that are used throughout Wikifashion. Every designer, label, collection and item pages have individual templates that will list specific information.

How do I use a template?edit

A relevant template should be used on each page that is created. Once a page is saved, these will appear as an information box at the top right hand corner of the page. Please see the specific template documentation:

How to include categoriesedit

• When creating a page it is important to include the category/s under which the item/designer/person/collection belongs. For example:

An item page for a dress may include a category link to dresses, and the collection. In order to include these, type the following at the bottom of the page.

Information for designersedit

• If you are having difficulty with creating a page for your label or brand please visit Lola Public Relations, who can upload your collections each season as well as create pages for your label. Please note that information that is placed on Wikifashion on your behalf will be unbiased.
