Early Life and family edit
Kim Kardashian was born as a daughter of a fourth-generatian Armenian father named Robert Kardashian, who was a lawyer, and an American mother named Kris Jenner (née Kristen Houghton). She claims to have been raised with a big Armenian influence. Her parents divorced in 1990 and her mother remarried Olympic Champion Bruce Jenner in 1991. Her father died in 2003 of esophageal cancer.
Kim has an older sister named Kourtney, a younger sister named Khloé and a younger brother named Robert. There's also half- and stepsisters and -brothers: Kendall (1995) and Kylie (1997) are her half-sisters. Casey Jenner is her stepsister and there are stepbrothers Burt, Brandon and Brody. Brody is best-known for his appearances in reality tv-show the Hills.
Actress & TV appearances edit
Kim has had a couple of parts as a guest-actress in tv shows and movies.
In 2008 she played Lisa in Disaster Movie, which was her acting debut. In the TV series Beyond the Break she played Elle for four episodes in 2009 (episode 1, 2, 7 and 8 of season 3). She played Summa Eve in the movie Deep in the Valley in 2009, a movie about two guys who mysterically get send to a world that seems to come straight out of a porn movie by a mysterious video booth. Also she played Debbie Fallon in CSI: NY in episode 11 of season 6 (2009).
Kim has played herself in a couple of TV Shows, examples are: 90210 (2010), How I Met Your Mother (2009), The Insider (2008), The Apprentice (2010, Brothers (2009).
Aside from talk shows, Kim participated in several other TV shows such as: Dancing with the Stars, as a guest judge on America's Next Top Model and in The Simple Life.

Kim Kardashian has become the figurehead of curvy women. Especially her very round behind is something she's very proud of as you can see when she poses towards the camera's with her bottom faced to the lens. She even modelled for a Nike campaign about being proud of her figure inluding her derrière. Many women adore Kim Kardashians lean but curvy figure and her way of dressing, highlighting all of her strong points.
As a young girl Kim Kardashian already cared a lot about her appearance and her father even made her go to beauty school so she would learn how to apply make up perfectly. It's very rare to see Kim without her hair, nails and and make up done.
Kim Kardashian was a stylist before she got famous. She had styled infomercials, tv shows, music videos and photo shoots. Because she worked very organized, she started designing closets for celebrities. In 2006 she opened a designer clothing store named DASH with her sisters Khloé and Kourtney. In 2009 they opened a store in Miami, and in order to feature the process of that store opening Khloé and Kourtney got a spin off of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, called Khloé and Kourtney Take Miami. In 2009 Kim started her own online shoe company shoedazzle.com. In 2010 Kim and Kourtney decided to take New York with their third DASH-store, this time in New York City. The process of opening another store also got a spin off called Kourtney and Kim Take New York.
Kim Kardashian has her own blog: Kimkardashian.com. She blogs about her projects and shows photos of herself and her family and friends. On her blog she posts behind the scene pictures and fashion, beauty and practical advice.
