Lux vita et iocus is a fashion and creativity blog, which started at January 2009. It's name is written in ancient latin and it means light (Lux), life (vita) and fun (iocus also stands for games). This blog is also known by it's shorter name Lvi or L>i. It started with entries in spanish, but thanks to the viewers outside Mexico, it´s now written in both, spanish and english.

Lvi blog main idea is that fashion is also a way of expressing who you are, therefore dressing, styling, hairstyles and all, are a natural way of letting people know who you are. From this point of view, personal style is not vanity, it´s simply a matter of creativity and communication.

Blog contents

Lvi´s content is shaped by style pictures, fashion sets that sometimes are a reply to Fashion Emergency requests, brand and products reviews, fashion news, music, and every once in a while anecdotes, ramblings and movies.

Even when Lvi, started in a not-so-fashionable-city in central Mexico, it´s content aims towards worldwide viewers and ageless style fanatics.

Since the blog is fueled by the viewers, at the end of every blog entry, users can express their opinion, either by leaving a comment or simply by clicking on the opinion chart: ♥♥♥♥♥ If you loved the entry, ♥♥♥ if you really liked it, ♥ if it´s so-so, or yuck! if you didn´t like it at all.

Note: Viewers can write comments on blog entries by logging to Google, LiveJournal, WordPress, TypePad, AIM or OpenId accounts, and are able to follow it directly on blogger or trough Facebook.

Fashion Emergency

Fashion Emergency requests are an important part of Lvi blog. This section is designed to help Lvi´s followers -no matter their age,gender, or size- cope the What should I wear-crisis and solve many other doubts. Users just need to click on the Fashion Emergency link and fill out the Fashion Emergency formwith name or nickname, contact information, a description of their problem or doubt, age range and country of origin. Users may ask to have their pictures displayed on the blog, to have their answer as a fashion set, or remain anonymous.

This section arose from the frequent inquiries from friends and acquaintances related to styling and trends. Fashion consulting is one of the main interests of the author too, so LuceBuona would be glad to give her sincere and humble opinion about anything related to both fashion and creativity.

Lvi on Facebook

Lux vita et iocus blog has a fan page on Facebook, where you can find news on updates of the blog, fashion related material, ads from special posts and blog guests.

Forum section was recently added to Lvi´s Facebook page, with forums in both english and spanish for users to express their opinions on style, ask for advice on how to wear accessories, garments, shoes and hairstyles, or just to have a chat.

Author

Lvi author is mexican fashion fanatic and visual arts enthusiastic, Luz A. better know as LuceBuona. Born in central Mexico, LuceBuona has always been a great admiror of arts, specially painting and sculpture. Clothing and sense of humor also take a special part in her life, she believes that "life shouldn´t be taken too seriously, you only live once!".
