Sara Vrugt

Sara Vrugt (1981) is a young Dutch fashion designer whose work is a mix of fashion and art. It is conceptual and always has a message. Sara has designed theatre costumes and won several prizes with her work. In 2009 Sara Vrugt initiated 'Een rode draad' (A red thread). This collection was designed inspired by cultural diversity. Its presentation took place on the streets of The Hague. The runway literally formed a red line and walking on it was a performance for the 300 models. For a day, the city served as a stage and its inhabitants as models. Een Rode Draad's main purpose was to connect people.
