Domingas Loforte is a Mozambican Fashion Designer, who was born in 1986, in Maputo, but a month after left to live her first 6 years in Brussels, Belgium. Mingas has launches her first mini collection of 6 pieces in 2010, at Mozambique Fashion Week. Mingas is known for her simple yet elegant womenswear designs, earthy colours and strong fabrics. Not being able to study in the area of her choice, she has studied Tourism, but has decided to try and see if Fashion would accept her entrance, which was quite well received and acclaimed. She was mostly praised by the models and the audience for showing great tailoring skills and fit clothing.
Mingas is currently working on her second womenswear collection for Mozambique Fashion Week, which will happen in December 2011, forming part of her upcoming clothing label, yet unnamed.
