Chanel 2.55
In the early 1920s, Coco Chanel became frustrated with having to carry her handbags in her arms. Coco then decided to create a handbag that allowed her to use her arms freely. The Chanel 2.55 was inspired by straps found on the soldier's bags during the war. She then altered the design by adding thin straps to the bag and introducing it to the market in 1929. After her successful comeback to the fashion industry Coco Chanel updated the bag for modern women. The bag was named after its created date, February 1955.

Badgley Mischka was founded in 1988 by Parsons The New School for Design students, Mark Badgley and James Mischka met and formed a fashion label. In 1993 the pair sought further funding as their brand grew more successful, since then there designs have graced the covers of Vogue and Women's Wear Daily. The label includes a bridal collection, handbags, footwear, sportswear, lingerie as well as a women's wear collection. Its pieces are stocked in Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue.
