Zooey Claire Deschanel (born January 17, 1980) is an American actress, musician and singer-songwriter.
She is best known for numerous film roles, which include: 500 Days Of Summer (2009), Yes Man (2008), Failure To Launch (2006), Elf (2003) and Almost Famous (2000), among others.
Zooey is the daughter of Academy-Award-nominated cinematographer Caleb Deschanel, who worked on films such as My Sister's Keeper, Passion Of The Christ and The Patriot.
Zooey is the lead singer of the band She & Him. Her debut album Volume One was released on March 18, 2008.
